Through indepth research, the national Department of Tourism has identified unique and exciting investor opportunities in Mpumalanga.

Hazyview
The town of Hazyview is inviting and visitors are well catered for, while the region is rich in history and culture.
Investment project details
Project: LeMeridien Kruger Park Golf and Spa Resort
Location: Situated near to the Kruger National Park and in close proximity to most of Mpumalanga’s private game farms.
Description: The project proposes the creation of an international 4-star hotel with a golf course, horse riding and other sport facilities. This project will maximise the existing tourism appeal of the area.
Approximate value:
Hotel: R260-million, resort: R2-billion
Feasibility/financial projections: A feasibility, design study and business plan have been completed, and the land ownership has been secured.
Bourke’s Luck Potholes
Nestled in the Panorama Region of the Mpumalanga Province, Bourke’s Luck Potholes – part of the Blyde River Canyon – are a major investment opportunity.

Project: Bourke’s Luck Lodge and Restaurant
Location: The project is located at Bourke’s Luck Potholes, in the Panorama Region which is well-known for its scenic mountains and numerous waterfalls.
Description: The project involves the development of an up-market 5-star lodge with 80 beds and a top-quality restaurant. The project seeks funding for development, operation and management assistance, and will enhance the tourism
potential of this iconic feature of the province.
Approximate value: R135-million
Feasibility/financial projections: A business
development plan, architectural designs and
environmental study have been completed.
