Mpumalanga regions unite to promote Lowveld to tourists
Tourism in Mpumalanga is to be reinvigorated with three of the regions seven tourism regions having joined forces to market the province more effectively.
The three areas - Panorama, Wild Frontier and Lowveld Legogote routes - have now been combined into a single tourism region known as Kruger Lowveld Tourism.
"The unification of the three regions will ensure better, cost effective marketing, improved brand awareness and will consolidate the benefits of membership for the private sector," said Sthembile Mhlophe, Lowveld Tourism manager.
The new strategy is to focus on providing improved, customer focused and cost-effective visitor services, thereby encouraging tourists to stay longer in the area by offering more products.
